Árbol 15 a 25 cm. Hojas simples. Flores solitarias de 2 cm de largo y no observadas. Frutos de 20 a 30 cm de largo, presentes en junio, julio y diciembre.

Se reconoce por sus hojas grandes, con una pubescencia densa de tricomas estrellados y nervios terciarios muy reticulados. Además, por sus frutos alargados creciendo en el tronco con pubescencia ferrugínea densa.

Es un árbol endémico. Distribuido en bosques húmedos de ambas vertientes.

This is a tree that grows from 15 to 25 m. It has simple leaves and solitary flowers that are 2 cm long and aren’t observed. Fruits can grow from 20 to 30 cm long. The tree bears these fruits in June, July and December.

This species is recognized by its large leaves, with a dense pubescence of stellate trichomes and highly reticulated tertiary veins. Besides, the elongated fruits growing on the trunk with dense ferruginous pubescence.

It is an endemic tree distributed in humid forests on both slopes.
